Starlight has been working closely with Cisco Systems both in the UK and internationally for almost ten years. .

We help them to produce their ‘Video on Demand’ presentations (VOD) as well as use our specialist Portable Production Unit (PPU) to help broadcast programming for Cisco TV (IPTV network).

Telepresence - Cisco

More recently we have developed an HD PPU that enables us to interface into Cisco Systems latest technology known as ‘Telepresence’ (a revolutionary full HD (1080p) teleconferencing system that allows ‘virtual’ meetings with life-size quality images).

Our bespoke system allows Cisco to harness their Telepresence technology to facilitate virtual company meetings which sometimes span as many as seven countries.

Video on Demand - Compaq

Ten years ago Compaq contacted us to help them implement a web based portal for their first ‘Video on Demand’ site, to be designed specifically for access by their partners, sales teams and prospective clients for the purpose of keeping abreast of the latest technical specifications as implemented by Compaq Developers.

We were able to capture specialist presentations delivered at their International Quarterly Company meetings and subsequently convert these into streaming files for uploading onto their servers. At that time, broadband did not exist so we had to work with low bandwidth internet. However, this project was one of Compaq’s major successes and its’ implementation, (developed by Starlight in the UK), was taken up internationally and rolled out into North America. Shortly afterwards we were approached by Cisco Systems, who wanted to put to good use, our accumulation of knowledge, expertise and experience with Web Streaming. The rest as they say, is history! .
